Door & Drawer
Removal
We start off all cabinet painting and refinishing projects by removing the doors and drawers. As we remove them every component of each piece is labeled. This organization ensures proper reassembly and perfect fit and finish.
Cleaning &
Degreasing
Kitchens cabinets are a high use item in everyone's home. There are hands touching the doors everyday. Oils and grease from cooking end up building up on the surfaces over time and can be the enemy of adhesion. These are the reasons we thoroughly clean and degrease every surface of your cabinets.
Sanding
Once your cabinets are clean, sanding is an essential next step in preparing the cabinets. There is no substitute for sanding, by scratching the surface with the appropriate grit, this gives the primer tooth to adhere and give you long lasting results.
Masking
Masking is a tedious but very important step in protecting your kitchen. Everything needs to be covered and sealed to ensure your flooring, countertops, appliances and personal belongings are protected from the industrial coatings we apply. We don't take any chances when it comes to sealing off the area we are working in.
Priming
After our preparation and masking is complete, it's time to prime. We use only stain blocking high adhesion primers to ensure your cabinets will be smooth, beautiful and stand the test of time.
Top Coat
Application
After the primer is dry and lightly sanded, we clean the cabinets again to ensure all the dust has been removed. After that we begin our top coat application. This is always a two coat process. We use only the finest equipment to ensure a fine cabinet shop like finish quality on all surfaces of your cabinets.
Hardware
Installation
When you are going through the cabinet painting and refinishing process, its always nice to freshen up the style by changing out or adding new hardware. We have the appropriate tools and knowledge to install new handles or knobs on your cabinets.
Finished
Results
After we have completed the project, we clean up and remove all the masking and covering used. We want the only evidence of the project to be the beautifully finished cabinets, not the mess!
